That said, it's GTA Online feature, I highly doubt it will go to single player. Who knows what GTA V would have been like had the focus been on GTA V instead of GTA Online + a story mode that delivered it.
Actually, GTA Online was supposed to be released stand-alone in 2011. GTA Online is a stand alone game Buying GTA V granted access to GTA Online.
